Material-efficient Cu wire-based 3D printing technology
Area Acceleration (D2) Segment Upscaling (D2.2) Duration 2019/01/01-2021/12/31
Date: 20_22 March, 2019
Place: Kraków, Poland
The meeting started a series of conferences titled ‘Directions of development and sustainable reindustrialisation of the Polish economy’ organised by a consortium of scientific units including: The Faculty of Non-Ferrous Metals of AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, The Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science of Polish Academy of Sciences. The conference was a kind of joining forces and possibilities of the Polish scientific and economic communities in the field of non-ferrous metals, and governmental institutions working for the country’s economy.
The aim of the conference was the presentation of work and discussion on the string of the research process from the basic phase (TRL1) to the implementation phase (TRL9). The result should be multiplication of the pace of research and implementation of technologies of the most economically and socially important applications of non-ferrous metals.
Moreover, the project 3DMPWire run by the Metal Processing Department as part of the EIT RawMaterials, and the subject of 3DMetal Printing technology were promoted during this conference. This was done, among others, by a presentation ‘The application of incremental technologies in various branches of industry.’ by W. Burian PhD, a representative of the Project Leader, and in a poster session.
