ENEA

ENEA is the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development. It is the second major Italian research organization, with around 2500 staff employees distributed in its nine research centers all over the national territory. The Agency’s activities are mainly focused on Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy Sources, Nuclear Energy, Climate and the Environment, Safety and Health, New Technologies, Electric System Research. ENEA is member of several European Technology Platforms and panEuropean networks, such as EEN (Enterprise Europe Network), and TTO Circle (European Technology Transfer Office). It is a founding member of the EERA (European Energy Research Alliance) and of the ECRA (European Climate Research Alliance). ENEA organized the participation of Italy and Spain to the KIC on raw materials: “EIT RawMaterials”. The Colocation Center South, located at ENEA Casaccia Research Centre, now includes 20 partners from Italy, Spain Hungary, as well as 30 further supporters (including public and private Maltese stakeholders). Regarding to the material fatigue characterization and nondestructive testing proposed in the present project, ENEA was involved, in recent years, in various projects as: THERMIE (EU projects), MITGEA (national Italian project) TEDAT (national Italian project) MATRECO (national Italian project).
